The lessons we learned while dealing with Club Mahindra. Stay AWAY FROM CLUB MAHINDRA --- FAR AWAY!!!
On the 6th of January 2009, we had attended a 2 hour presentation at Club Mahindra's Baner office. They will entice you with a once in a lifetime offer and tell you you have to make a decision then and there and repeat a thousand times emphasizing that this is offer valid ONLY FOR TODAY .
Initially we refused as we were not sure of committing the said sum of money to Club Mahindra at a moments notice.When faced with a refusal they will tell you that it there is a possibility of canceling the order within 10 days if not satisfied which will guarantee you a refund within 30 days, after which we opted for a membership.
We were ensured that if we requested for cancellation within 10 days, the payment should be refunded within a period of 30 days. This was even mentioned in the membership form.On researching on the INTERNETwe found a lot of complaints regarding CLUB MAHINDRA. Subsequently after discussions amongst ourselves we decided NOT to go for this. We sent a request for cancellation on the 8th of January.
Today, Almost 3 months from that unfortunate day, when we had decided to visit their office, and multiple inquiries & phone calls to their customer support, we still have NOT got the refund. We had never imagined that I would have had to undergo this kind of stress & frustration dealing with a company associated with a group like Mahindra & Mahindra.
Sample their response to emails below and notice there is commitments to any dates. These are the kind of responses they keep feeding you.*'Greetings from Club Mahindra!!!We regret you for the inconvenience caused but we promise to get back to you at the earliest with the date of your refund cheque.
