Few days back I got a call from CM’s executive and told that we have won 2N/3D’s free stay. I asked him from where did he get my mobile no, .. he said we had filled in a cupen in one of the malls(CITY CENTER, BIG BAZAAR) here in Mangalore. He asked me to come to their office in Mangalore and told very precisely that come if you are a couple and if you have 40-45 minutes spare. I had told her over phone itself that later on afterwards they should not force us for any offers. She said they wont force us. Me and my wife went their by thinking that we have won something and should at least see what they are offering.
When we went their they welcomed us in a good room and asked to sit and then they started hypnotizing us. They showed their world class video of their resorts that seems to be 5 star. We were the only family present on that day (saturday). Then after the completion of video they started their speech (explaining the offers, but nothing about the money). After the speech, he told his manager would talk to us obout the money. First time when you hear that offer you think you have got something really astonishing (But this is not the fact). Now below are the offers they made to us.
1) 1st exciting offer: 26" SONY BRAVIA LCD. They promise to give this LCD only if you pay 10% of the amount( Rs 2’60’000) in advance + 2 months EMI. That is too asap from the day I signed in.
2) He also offered me another 2N/3D’s free stay + Food vouchers worth Rs.4000/-. These vouchers I didnot see but some catch would have been there too. Like the vouchers you can avail this within this time period and all.
3) Then he explined about other RCI locations. Ok this is the offer they present to all.
4) Another offer they were saying that they are giving only if you will book the offer right now within 10 minutes. The offer was additional Later he offered me another 2N/3D’s free stay in all over india. I was not feeling confortable atall. When he started saying immediate, there stared the uneasyness, I said I need some time.
5) But in the end they asked us to make very strange confession that, I should atleast sign the document (application), where in he took six signatures. and here we got little worried that why this big organization is asking us such a thing from us. Later we came to know that this was their trap to be with CM always. Because once you sign in give the 10% and agree for the EMI, you can not do anything. and the down payment you have made that will not be returned for sure after you give PDC’s to them.
Why one should not Go for this Bullshit ClubMahindra?
1) Very expensive. For me(professional) . If we calculate the required amount it will be like this. Rs 2’60’000/- (fee for 25 years)
2) maintenance cost of Rs 8900/- for 25 years. That come around 25 * 8900 = Rs 2’22’500/- Rs 6000/- RCI fee for every visit (if needed) 10 years.
3) Then when we choose a location for the vacations, we need to plan for our travel (i.e travel cost and food expenses) say around Rs 25000/- per year for a family of 4-6 of us. Then for 25 years ?.. 25000 * 25 = Rs 6'25'000/- I have not taken inflating into account here...
4) Totally it would be a big package for Rs 2'60'000 + 2'22'500 + Rs 6'25'000 ==> Rs 11, 07, 500 /- and not Rs 2'60'000/- which I will I have to spend eventually. So the total lumsum amount is very high price to go and that too we have to pay in advance and and we cannot withdraw this scheme too later on.
5) Not very useful as making trip in advance is not best suited for everyone because I read some reviews here and came to know that even if you are planning your trip 3 month advance then also its not a surity that you will get the rooms. So it is a big question that what is the use of paying such a whooping amount in advance and you are not getting the rooms when you want to enjoy. Thanks to MOUTHSHUT for this.
6) And who knows what model LCD they are giving and it can be even an old version. So its an appeal to all friends over here, please don’t fall into this bullshit trap of Club Mahindra they are just fooling and misleading customers as they are very professional at this.
I went for the registered on 31st july 2010 and I cancelled the application on the same day evening. BUt if I had fallen into the trap, given those PDC’s to them then my hard earned money would have been gone. LUCKY me...friends be lucky and get away from this CLUB MAHINDRA.
