A few days back I received a phone call from a Mr. Prashant of ''Club Mahendra Holidays'' office located at The hub, 2nd floor Western Express Highway, Mumbai. He claimed that I had won a raffle conducted at the Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai. He even informed me of my token number and so I had no reason not to disbelieve him.
The following sunday, I visited their office to collect my ''prize'' which was 2 nights, 3 days free stay at some of their resorts. When I reached their office I discovered that I was conned. That I had to sit for some sort of presentation and then only would be issued the so called award. I refused to sit quietly and created a scene so that other invitees would also be aware of the kind of third-rate ethics followed by Club Mahendra.
I know of the scam going around in Mumbai specially - they call you up and say you have won some award. Only, I did not expect a company such as Mahendra & Mahendra indulging in such type of cheap tricks.
If this is their code of conduct, I would urge all the readers to be very careful while utilizing any product from this company.
