Any One who plans to buy a club mahindra package must read this review, Its over 2 weeks that I have written this to club mahindra on their feedback@clubmahindra.com, where they responded saying that they will get in touch in 2 days , but its of 15 days now and I am still waiting:

As per my discussion with your representative, its been informed to me that I will virtually loose all my money if I cancel this membership , so I would not like to cancel my membership. I am taking back my cancellation request not because I appreciate the Plan now, but because I have no other choice. I am highly dissatisfied with this scheme, which financially makes no sense, and more over once a customer gets into the trap, there is no way of coming out of it. Club Mahindra holidays experience will surely have its rub-off on all Mahindra offerings and has lost its credibility for me and my family and friends and their friends and families.
Let me give you the scan short of the calculation.
Financially it’s a scam-scheme
When you buy any thing in bulk you expect to pay less per unit, bizarrely a member pays more than the market rate (Pls refer to the calculation given below)
When you buy any membership and pay in advance you expect room availability without planning. Which is not a case here as one needs to book 3-4 months in advance? This is because ClubMahindra is just adding more and more members without increasing the facilities and rooms per location –( this is a non delivery of promise, and a misrepresentation of service, an offence that can be challenged under consumer court). The Rooms are given to non-members, even though the members have to do booking in advance, what is the logic behind this (this is just a way of making money at the cost of members)
Calculations
I was planning a 3Night 4Day trip to Goa from 2nd April to 5th April 2010 (an Off season at Goa): As club Mahindra properties are some where between 4-5 Star, I am comparing it with the same.
A 3N/4D plan with any 4-5 star properties is costing me Rs. 3500 to 4500 (along with a free Breakfast), that too, available without any planning in advance. If I would have booked 3months in advance (which I am expected to do with clubmahindra otherwise I’ll never be able to holiday in my life), the cost would have been Rs. 1000 lesser.
But with club Mahindra the cost for this trip is as following
1st : 3 Lacs paid for 25 weeks - so per day cost is Rs. 1714/-
2nd: Interest on 3lacs per year at 8% is Rs. 24000 - so per day cost is Rs. 3429/-
3rd: Maintenance charges per annum is around Rs. 11000 so per day cost is 1571/-
So the total cost for only the stay is Rs 6, 714/- with out breakfast, so if you add the cost of the breakfast for two people it goes to around Rs 7, 500/- to 8, 000/-. I fail to understand even after paying you in advance for 25 years long; one has to pay you more than the market rate, plus has to book in advance.
Apart from the above startling facts there are other hidden things like the price of the food at your properties and the distance from the airport and the distance from other important tourist sites that increases the cost of the holiday trip. And on top of that you don’t even allow the member to surrender the package at a nominal cost, goes to prove that its just a Scam-Scheme and nothing more. I never expected Mahindras to run such an inferior service.
