For all who are reading this, stay away and do not get lured by this unethical organisation. Unfortunately for me, I did not go through the many reviews posted by others who have been cheated by Club Mahindra.
At the time of signing up, I was promised 1) One week complimentary international holiday via RCI, 2) one week complimentary domestic holiday, 3) A Sony Bravia 32" LCD TV, 4) 8 one way complimentary Air Deccan tickets, 5) Food Vouchers worth Rs 5000 and 6) 3 year complimentary membership of RCI.
All these are written down in my form signed by their sales executive.
I was shocked when I got their "welcome" mailer - Suddenly all sorts of restrictions were indicated in the the offer.
1) International Holiday - Cannot be availed during school holidays and festive period! When then am I supposed to travel with my family? I was not told about this restriction.
2) Domestic Holiday - Can only be availed during Blue and White season! Which means you will end up in a resort during the worst season. Only starts 45 days from down payment - was told 30 days.
3) Sony Bravia - The sales executive told me 30 days from signing up. The letter says 45 days from realisation of down payment. This is yet to come so I don't know what is in store.
4) Air Deccan tickets - will expire by 31/8/08 - So I can't take a holiday in a CM resort and as a result these will expire - Very clever ploy indeed.
5) Food Voucher - They completely missed mentioning this.
6) RCI Membership - I got an email from CM about the membership id.
As one can see, promises are made and the terms are not explained in black and white. The offers are all useless and cannot be utilised. Club Mahindra's way of doing business is not clean and they are unethical. Emails to them give a standard response that restrictions apply. Why did they not make it clear at the time of sale.
When contacted, the sales executive told me that restrictions are obvious and I should have known about it! All these restrictions were niether told to me nor are writen down in my form in the offers section.
I request you all to tell everyone around you in social, family and office circles to stay away from Club Mahindra. Spread the word and beware.
If anyone of you have suffered similar lies please get in touch as I am seeking legal recourse to sue them in a consumer court for fraud.
Shame on you Club Mahindra.
