Beautiful untouched tropical location at the edge of the lake with fishermen in canoes and chinese fishing nets in the lake.
We were at the resort in last week of Apr. The weather was pleasent and the resort had a lots of boat rides to suit your fancy. The resturant serves nice food that suits the tastes of people from all over. The chef seemed proud of his creations as he went around discussing them with the patron. The staff at the resturant was also very helpful. They packed us a nice big breakfast for our trip to Varkala beach.
The big problem is housekeeping. Unlike rest of Club Mahindra properties these people were were more like robots hiding behind excuses and rules all the time. Only 6 teabags and 6 sugar saches in a day, The room dosen't have windows so we have smell of dampness in the rooms. Both the manager and supervisor assured us to have the perfume sprayed but nobody came. They provided extra bed in the wrong room and despite calling repeatedly nobody shifted it. In the moring the calls to house keeping get routed to reception and they have a standard answer for everything from tea to water: Room service starts at 7 we will send it after 7. Lots of other instance which showed a complete breakdown of housekeeping.
