Today I had an appointment with doctor Jaya Bhat for my wife @ 8:00 PM. We reached the hospital @ 7:15 pm. Upon reaching hospital we were told that doctor is not available and all her appointments will be attended by her assistant. When I protested I was bluntly told that this arrangement was as per doctor's instruction and it is not her responsibility to inform the patient about the same. Receptionist also refused to provide any alternate senior doctor too.
Is this the way to treat the patient? Does your hospital give any importance to patient's time? Is this ethical to take the appointments in the name of a particular doctor when he/she is in fact not available?
Your hospital advertises best maternity care (near 5 star exp), but the reality is very far ..... I can safely say that this was my first and last visit to your hospital.
