Simple but extremely addictive, Clash of Clans puts players in charge of their own village and focusses on expanding their colony by building more buildings and leveling up. this usually requires gold and elixir which is produced by dedicated building or can be gathered by attacking other players(the main USP of the game).
The gameplay includes creating new buildings, upgrading existing ones, unlocking new options, troops and so on. However, the game also focusses on constructing defenses like cannons, walls, and loads more in order to better protect your village and resources from other raiders(mixing in elements of tower defense games).
What makes the game really appealing is the vibrant and rather distinct visuals, especially character and troop animations up close, giving it a very polished look. Clash of Clans also includes social and multiplayer gaming elements in the form of Clans. The premise is to join up a clan with other players which then act as your family. You can donate troops, participate in the clan wars and earn bonus loot.
Clash of Clans has a lot going for it in terms of play style variation and player interaction. It provides enough variety in terms of troops, upgrades & numerous other things and also quick, enjoyable matches to raid other players, making it extremely enjoyable and addictive.
