Getting frustrating offlate. Review on Clarence Public School, Bangalore

My kid studies in CPS and this is the 5th year. Good teachers are leaving the school and only very few good teachers are staying now. but many teachers are just typical and average, but over rated. When I see my child's book, all wrong things are marked right. and right things are marked wrong .

Except for 10th standard, I feel other classes are ignored. Most teachers are just average except a few who are really nice. Some teachers are so careless and negligent that they don't send things on time, no proper information on functions, costume etc, telling something to parents and in the nth moment, changing the scenario, some teachers use rude language for kids as I get to know from the kids.

One of the most costly institutions in the south, but no facilities like sports, foreign language options, no picnics and day outs for kids, no extra curricular activities except the school day programmes, no team spirit concept at all. In fact swimming is not available for kids after 5th standard and in other classes too, 60 percent of the times they don't take them swimming at all. God knows for what reasons they charge so heavily.

Till now, I have not understood the criteria of recruitment of teachers specially for primary classes upto 5th, I guess they just take on the basis of kids-moms in same school rather than the ability to teach and knowledgebase. Offlate, it is getting really frustrating.

Good part is - organised book distribution in year beginning, admin staff and security. Nothing much to really boast about academics or sports, except 10th results for which I guess good teachers teach, plus hard work of students and private tuitions they take.
