This is a post dated review...I watched the film on Friday, reviewed it on saturday but for selfish reasons, wrote the review today...the selfish reasons being less TRPs' I mean RRC's on weekends!

Coming to the film now...this film was screened at our office theatre on last friday...it created lots of curiosity but not much audience :( the film is 1 hour 57 minutes long and even that was not a good enough reason for my office collegues to stay back!

The film stars Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan as main leads...I have seen Meg in "You've got mail" and Nicholas in "National Treasure" ...I am not into hollywood moives and these are some of the "only" films I watched...Seeing two known stars in a film was my reason to view this film; loads of worthy comments and appreciation being the other!

The film is about Nicholas Cage who is not a living human..he is immortal in every sense of the word...his duty is take souls from this world to the other...quite a scary thought! But if you think about it on another level, you will realise that the feeling of being feeling-less, emotion-less and body-less gives you a high of its own...the pain, hunger, love...you are free from these wordly emotions...Nicholas plays this character with elan! His expressions are world class and you can identify with his dilemma, his love and his feelings...

The film's other character is Meg Ryan who is a doctor...She is a doctor who believes in making the world right...she doesnt want any of her patients to loose the battle against life. Meg Ryan in this role is excellent as always...she looks beautiful, natural and surely attracts more attention than Nicholas Cage. She makes the character believable, live and pretty!

The love between the twois what makes the film watchable. Nicholas is an immortal who has to leave his immortality for something that he wants to experience...love! He wants to live the life of a human, with pains, with hunger, with love and with Maggie...she is the one who makes him realise that life is no good without something as lovely as love...he makes his choices and does'nt regret it...

The message that the film gives is loud and clear...Love can make your life...worthy!!! The feeling it gives is that love makes you do things which you may not have done otherwise...Love is an emotion which makes humans, a far more special species than animals, insects and birds...Love makes your heart accept another person with all his complexities, failures and burdens...love makes life glow even on a stormy day, makes untolerable music adorable and even sometimes...makes you forget that you have your own life...this is the power of love and it is not everybody's cup of tea!

As a firm believer in life and not love, I was apprehensive in accepting that love makes your live your life to the fullest...infact I still do not believe in it in entirety but I may be wrong...Love is a beautiful feeling and I am sure it makes life worth living too...but till the time, I find my "special one", I am happy to debate it ;-) This film is surely for people who are in love, were in love or are married...ok, that is being so horribly mean...no offence meant! Married people do love...infact they are lovely people!

Since this was a short duration film, the review was also short...but don't let that be a reason to keep your comments short or extinct...I am used to them!!!
