Can you imagine any bank charging Rs 110 if you go to their premises and credit cash? Citibank does.
If anyone goes and pays Rs 10 in your account you will be debited Rs 110 (Rs 100 goes to Citibank and Rs 10 for service charges). Just for walk in! I had written many times not to send any mail other than my statement but they go on sending all types of mails.
I cant charge them anything. Poor PChidambaram was more reasonable when he wanted to charge Rs 10 for Rs 10000 withdrawal! Good old days the banks will take your signature if they debit any amount in your account. Now that practise is no longer there. All in small prints! But there is a good side also in Citibank There are very nice things like free drafts and internet banking.
One very bad aspect is they dont treat good customers better. All types of peculiar charges: if you order a dd it is delivered anywhere free but if you pay a bill on the net you are charged!
