Very Very BAD!!! - That is all I can say about this bank.
Lemme briefly explain my experiences with this so-called Bank.
In 2004 when I came to India on a visit, I opened a local Savings Account, specifically telling the guy who came to my house that I wanted an account with zero balance. He told me that there was no charge for it at all. I agreed and opened the fateful account, with a measely INR 10000.
Once I reached Muscat, I was amazed to check that I was receiving emails from CitiBank-Chennai and they were deducting more than INR 1000 every month !!!
When contacted CitiBank was ''0'' in replying. Imagine receiving an email from your bank that you are losing money and you cannot do anything about it. I was helpless and could do nothing. I lost almost all the money and was left with peanuts when I closed my account after almost 6 months.
When I contacted some other account holders in CitiBank, they were mostly not happy with the bank's service. They said that the bank was completely lethargic and had very inexperienced staff.
Even my mother whose Suvidha Account was running the bank, has been operating with complete inefficiency. They lost so many of her deposit cheques, which she received, that she was also not interested in operating the account.
One piece of advice, if you have BLACK MONEY, then open an account in this bank.
