My parents have their account with Bank Of Maharashtra. I have seen them standing in a long queue for payments and receipts. Even a procedure like changing of physical address on the passbook took an eternity. It seemed that we(customers) are dependent on them. It gave me a picture of banking in our country where customer is a thoroughly neglected specie. My brief encounters with the staff of the above bank only strengthened my belief.
But Citi changed all of it. I am having a salary account with Citi since 6 months. I have liked the internet banking and ATM service in particular.
Their service is good.
I even informed my parents to open an account with this bank.
However, they have only one branch in the entire Pune City. For my parents and other senior citizens in Pimpri Chinchwad township(who like to see their money deposited and withdrawn from a cashier and are not too tech savvy). I would really appreciate it if they could open a branch in Pimpri Chinchwad township so that a person staying in Chinchwad need not go all the way to Pune camp to submit his documents.
