This is the second time this is occurring with me. I dropped a cheque in Citibank dropbox at EGL - Bangalore food court on the 23rd of July 2013. As a process, it should had got picked up on 24th of July and sent for clearing today on 25th of July.
It seems that the bank has only picked up the cheque today. When I call up the head of the citibank MG Road branch where my account is located, they promptly start doubting me to whether I have dropped the cheque yesterday or day before.
The fact of the matter is my office is at EGL and yesterday I was on leave & I forwarded the mail to the citibank head. He is completely unapologetic about the incident and to him, this is as per his norms in spite of the last instance in March when he had to apologies for his in-inefficiencies.
This is crazy service from Citibank when they are taking responsibility of people money.
