Metro Cities alone never sleeps. Review on Citibank

I am having Suvidha account with citibank for the last 2 Years. Its my way of writing review by putting limelight on some naked truths. Let me do this also the same way

Banking Plugged to metros alone: The worst fact is that they were one of the foremost in introducing ATM facilities in the world but their branches in India are pretty less than any other smallest (Nationalized or international) bank in India. To the fact that they have started their service in India around 101 Years back. Its a undisputed truth but horrible to believe when we see their network.

Even in Metros you would never have more than Three branches. You will be punished with a hefty fine of around Rs. 100 for a deposit you make in the Branch to your account.

If you drop a cheque from an outstation account from another bank at a city where you don’t have Citibank It takes at least 14 Working Days. Which is horrible and never even acceptable for a customer like me.

Now at least they have started to open many ATM's in the metro's which had reduced the crowd at ATM's and this steep increase in the curve of new ATM's had a Steep Decrease in the wait time at ATM.

A fact is that they hold lots of Corporate customers, but for others the number of options of ATM's available and accessible to them is even now very less.

Last month when I went to Pondy it was a pleasant shock that citibank was there which I never expected.

In south India there ATM presence is restricted to Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Pondy cities only. So you always need to carry an alternative Debit card like one from SBI to save your processing fee which is charged when you use Citibank in other banks ATM machines.

The best things of citibank is:

Prompt on sending Mailers on request.

Mind-blowing Internet banking. It tries to patch many of the cons of this bank if you are a netizen.

Customer care call centre performance is good.

But be careful to trace your account as one of my friend got money transferred to his account by some unknown person. when it was reported to the customer care they just said you have got money then why do you worry.

Another case happened with my friend where he received one Rs.100 note less when it was dispensed in the ATM machine.

Also please monitor your account closely as there are chances for some hidden charges to have popped up for the service they offered
