CITI - Never Wakes up. Review on Citibank MasterCard Credit Card

Hi,

My previous review on Citi card was in March. In fact they continue to do what they are good at - Trying to fleece the customers.

Here is - Publishing at Mouthshut, the copy of may mail to citi today ( 2.12.2004). I am thinking of approaching the conumer forum....

I continue this note by taking reference to my previous mail in March 2004, followed by my review in mouthshut.com about Citi?s service.

I have been using the Citi Bank cards since 1991 and since September 2003, I have not been receiving the statements. I have been following up with your call centers almost regularly, to redress my grievances, but to no avail.

I informed you that I will be stopping all transaction on the card forthwith and paid up all the dues as of May 30th 2004, which was Rs 3402.95. The payment was made vide cheque no: 764003 for Rs3403/-, which was acknowledged by you. Through my communication dated 12 June, I have informed that I am stopping all transactions on the card and have indeed stooped all transactions since May 30,2004.

Since then, I have not received any communication from you either through surface mail or email. Suddenly, I received a statement from you on 30.11.2004, indicating an outstanding of Rs.4700.66.

Please note that I have refrained from using the card since May 30, 2004, and I have also informed you so. I have also intimated to you that I will not be renewing the card.

You chose to ignore these instructions, and continued to do what you are good at ? Trying to fleece the customers.

Please note that I do not owe any money to Citi Bank Cards. I am approaching the appropriate forum for redressal of my grievances at your cost and consequences.
