I've been using credit card ever since I knew how to properly use them. As a customer of Citi bank CC I've been through the hassle and bitter experience that most of you have been through. In order for you to beat the odds which I did, I would like to jot down few pointers so, you guys can get yourself back on track.
Please always read the welcome kit to understand the specifications, annual fee and the benefits of your CC(its would save a lot if time and money instead of calling Customer care to get your answers) Once you know it all you can play the game well.
Make sure you pay the Total due amount. Alter you statement generation date the same week as you salary credit. In this way you will be able to settle you dues by the Payment due date.
Paying the minimum amount will still attract Interest which will attract Service Tax+SBC+KKS.
Keep a check of your card offers for additional benefits. In formations are always available in the website. check for Deals, offers and Rewards.
You credit card is same as the cash in hand, FYI you will earn points and these points can help you convert them to cash and have it encashed towards CC statement. Pts value is different as per the card.
Your Cibil will take a hit only if you miss the payment on or before the due date. So, understand your payment modes and make the payment prior and enjoy the benefits.
