I'm doing my CCNA rite now, I have taken a month's leave from my job bcoz I wanna be a CCNA, and what I mean is that I HONESTLY want to learn the cisco way of networking and not just add a certificate to my collection.
CCNA has lots of value and is not so easy. it teaches you a lot of things and expects a lot of hard work too. it means that you give time and effort and study with passion so that you can be proud of the fact that you are a CCNA. there are lots of people who want to be CCNA just for the kick of it, they dont really care what networks and routers are and what they do - they want a label and they resort to unfair means to achieve their purpose, this is just not cricket!
CCNA is for passionate people who want to work hard and achieve something. and when you do this just to get certified you are actually ruining your own time and money. besides, you're never gonna get a job based on a'CCNA' label - you will have to prove the fact that you're worth the label and have you have knowledge to back it up.
all I want to say, CCNA is difficult and no piece of cake. if you want to be a CCNA be honest to yourself and to CISCO, and then I guarantee that it will give you respect, money and a decent job.
