Software professionals...... the truth

I have been working in an top notch IT firm and everyone in my family thinks that it is great.i am earning more than my dads and uncles.....

Every budding engineer thinks of joining Infosys,TCS or satyam .but the truth is behind the glitz and glamour of the IT industry ,the software engineers are just a glorified version of Cyber mazdoors who do mazdoori in a five star hotel type Offices.

Working in the software industry u are never expected to do anything that would challenge even the most mentally challenged of people.

just mundane data entry and as* licking.the average day starts by checking mails atleast for 3-4 hours.then after lunch and I hr nap u chat with friends ,(fellow 'mazdoors'.)then when its time for work u realize u could bypass the work by downloading stuff from the net and then move on to a little documentation ,a glorified form of data entry.

i would advise my fellow engineering graduates to do something wothwhile like research, management or hell even a government job but never take an IT job as a career, you may take it as a part time vocation for earning some easy quick money but thats about the only high u can get from that job !!!!

I know all this will come under heavy criticism and opposition from IT professionals on MS but if they are truthful to themselves ,deep down they will know this is the truth.
