Eye on Music . Review on Choosing an Audio/MP3 Software

Well I am just making this advice just a bit diffrent than the name suggests.i will list the Media players as well as audio producing softwares/Serquencers.

First we will discuss about the Softwares that plays your audio file types.i.e Media Players.

Media Players When we talk about Media players no doubt that everyone first think about Winamp. Latest release Winamp 5 is awesome, skins are more dangerous than Version 3, and once installed there is no reason why one uninstalls for another player. Hands up reasons to go with Winamp is because of Small setup, Large community for skin makers, less bugs, no annoying things with internet connection, supports for most of audio file types & there are many things you can do with Winamp.Jet audio player is the next after winamp if we look for stable & all other features we see in winamp. Jetaudio needs a bit more space than winamp. Skins, file types support, CD burning, stablity so, jet is good to have.

Apart from Winamp, Jetaudio there are many more players are in the market like Real player, Musicmatch juckebox, but they are with some restrictions(Shareware) so I will not discuss about them. Jet audio player's skin is available from thier own website but for winamp there are many skining sites are available.check out https://1001winampskins.com, there are communities for skin making for jet audio too. Other players like BSplayer, Sonique are worth a look if you need alternative.

I recommend installing single media player and improving it with plugins, skins than installing too many players & adding plugins, skins & wasting space.

Music Proucing If you're new to the world of creating your own music, things may seem a bit hard to get a grip of & For Music production there are many softwares available.we'll make two categaries like Beatmatching software for DJ's and another Music producing softwares including sequencers for producers.first we'll talk about beatmatching softwares, if you're a DJ then you know the importance of beatmatching.

Beat-Matching **well best software for beatmathing is Native instruments Tractor DJ studio. I will not go too much details on it, but it has everything that DJ needs & interface also is excellent. Other softwares for low budget is MixVibes(https://mixvibes.com) & DSS Dj Studio at(https://myxoft.com/ or https://dssdj.com).

Producers Tools For music producing there are very few alternatives i've seen only one software'BUZZ' as freeware.Buzz is very fiddly looking interface, Hard to produce music with it.It makes confusion in mind of user as it allows machines to connect in order to play song.Uses*. DLL files to produce effects, vibes etc. Download and make music from https://buzzmachines.com, by the way Fruityloops supports Buzz machine.

Reason by propellerheads is the king of all music making softwares for Windows platform, once you undersatnd the ins and outs of this softwares then there is no escape.Excellent samples(Refills), effects, not so easy at first go, but I really love it and i've seen many studios using this software. Overpriced software, Poor tech support are disadvantages of the software.

Fruityloops is next to go after Reason, cheap in price than reason.latest release fl studio 4.5.2 is much improved, not only good for Electronica genre but any genre fits into it.Easy to learn, Free samples, Directx effects support, Rewire support, VSTI plugins support are advantages while it comes with many synth or drum plugins some of them are free while few of them are very costly.Other software that works in the same way of Fruityloops are Storm by arturia inc, & Orion pro software.

Rebirth by propellerhead software is also good software but it is good for techno, electronica genre.

Tracking Softwares For Tracking softwares Madtracker is the best one arround, reallly cool software.

Sequencers Well for sequencers I recommend ACID Pro 4 only.other sequencers are hands down like adobe's, ejay's, magix's softwares.Benefit of ACID is that it's Directx effects can be detected by Fruityloops on your machine and you can use it in fruityloops without any problem.Ablenton live 3 also worth to check out.

Editing/Mixing For Sound editing/effects-mixing there are two options Steinberg Wavelab 4 or Sonic foundry Soundforge 7 both are great softwares, yes they are costly but they'll set virtual studio inside your house:) .

Wavelab is built in with effects while with Sonicfoundry soundforge you have to purchase effects seperately.if you have no barrier of money then take my advcie go with wavelab.

I am giving you this advice on these softwares cause I am in the electronica music production line since 2000, well I am not reached to the mark of any musician like Paul van dyk but I dont want anyone to make mistakes that I made in past.
