Don't buy Voltas AC . Review on Choosing an Air Conditioner

Day 1(26th May 2013, Sunday)Went to croma indiranagar showroom for buying an A/C

shortlisted Voltas and Panasonic. As per the recommendation  from croma executives[good service] we decided to purchase Voltas 1.5 ton A/c, with Free std installation and 2 yr extended warranty

Told it will be installed buy Tuesday EOD.Day 2(27th May 2013 Monday)

Got call from Voltas Service center. She asked me did you purchased Voltas A/c

I told yes She asked is free installation, then Croma hv to install voltas will not do free installation

Then I called croms customer care and told voltas will not do free installation, they registered a complaint and told will rectify this issue

by 3 Pm my a/c got delivered and at 5PM I got a call from voltas service center saying they will do free installation and  will send technician  on Wednesday by 11 am including Core cutting guys(i agreed to pay Rs1500/- for core cutting because its not part of std installation)

Day3(28th May 2013 Tuesday)I took leave on Wednesday for A/c installation. Even by afternoon 2 nobody came to my house, so I made a call to service center and I got answer they are on the way near to your house. but even by 5 pm nobody came, I made a call again to voltas service center, then I got an answer saying core cutting people are busy they will come tomorrow 2PM.

Day4(29th May 2013 Wednesday)

again I was waiting for voltas technician and nobody came by evening then I made a call to voltas service center, I got answer saying we will arrange technician to come on thrsday and your A/C will be installed btw 12 PM and 1 PM.

Day 5(30th May 2013 Thursday)

Nobody came to my house and I made call to voltas service center and I took service center managers number 9916520896

He told core cutting guys are not coming if you can arrange core cutting we will do installation on same day.

I went to Croma Store in Indiranagar and contacted customer service desk and got a core cutting vendors numbers

I called the vendor and he agreed to come my house on Saturday 12 PM for core cutting,

Day 7(1st June 2013)

Core cutting guys came on schedule by 12 PM and told Voltas A/C guys hv to come and mark the area to cut, otherwise they can't cut as they don't know where to cut and exact position

I called Voltas service center asking can they send some technician and mark the area to cut

but service center told all thr guys are busy and can't send anybody on Saturday, but will send on Monday sharp 12PM.

Day 9(3rd June 2013 Monday)

Nobody came from voltas for marking the area.

I went to Croma store by 3Pm and told the story to customer service desk.

Lady called voltas service center and told it should be installed by Monday 4PM(Biggest joke I heard)

CROMA customer care guys told your A/c will be installed by Monday(yesterday) 4PM otherwise they will do the follow ups
