New Air Conditioner not cooling
Apr 07, 2013 01:15 PM 78024 Views

I purchased Lg Inverter split Ac 1.5 ton for my hall few days back...Now the issue is it has poor cooling..I keep the setting on 18degree for 3 hrs and room temperature not falling below 28degree! As far as I'm concerned It could be because of either 2 reasons..

  1. Selected wrong Ac capacity for my 350-400 sq ft hall including kitchen..I went by BTU of Ac

My Ac BTU - 18, 425 BTU

Required BTU - 9000btu( 350- 400 sq ft) + 4000btu(kitchen) + 2600btu( 20% extra warm climate)= 15600btu

  1. Wrong wiring.

My Ac - input is 1470w, current 6.8 Amps, voltage-  220- 240v 50 hz.

Electrician said a normal 320 wire enough for 1.5 ton Ac with 20A circuit breaker. The plug used is 16A, 240v.

I don't know much about these but I've included as much information as possible. I am now very concerned and flipping over as I spent fortune on this air conditioner...Pls help and share as to what could be the issue and a solution..
