I have being introduced to computers 2 years ago and all the OS we knew was WINDOWS
WINDOWS has captured a huge market any guesses why
1 simplicity
2 acceptability
WINDOWS accepts a huge amount amount of hardware just in a snap via its plug and play
It also provides a huge database of drivers for various hardware
WINDOWS (pre 2003) was desinged in such a way that you could install just one services and would get a bundle of sub services started with it
This was a major security loophole as many unwanted services where utilized by crackers to cause damage
but hey u where always given options to disable them which many standard users did not know
by avalability I mean the above windows generally accepts most of the things (except linux , linux has to srive to be compatible with windows)
And what can I say about the simplicity of windows
Any duffer can use it (ex: I am using it)
Windows 2003 has over come the con of installing sub services i.e it loads to minimal req.
WINDOWS is the commners OS which can be loaded on most platforms and supports various softwares
and the list can go on
I rest my case
