Sphredth Water Heaters.....is it hot or is it hot?

Now this is one water/heater.......exactly mark my words.....its a water/heater and not a water heater....the details of it i'll go in on later.....

I got this water heater when my old clunked out last winter.......The diagnosis....and unbelievable......''sir.....the inlet water pipes in your water heater have frozen''.......''hoo boy'' I thought ''if it cant keep itself warm.....how's it gonna heat my bathing water''....so I immediately had it shipped off to Alaska where an Eskimo pal of mine is using it as a thermos.

Anyways...so I got this new Sphredth heaters I saw advertised on television. The first couple of months the heater worked like a dream......it heated up the water to an absolutely tantalizing temperature in the least amount of time.....and was an absolute anti-bane of my life.

Anyways...all good things come to an end....or in this case......all good things aint heating up as much as they heated up before. One fine day.....when I was standing under the shower expecting a warm blast of water on my face.....there came a bone-chilling-alaska-eskimo-in-10-fur-coats-freezing hail of water.....if I said it was raining icecubes...that would be an exaggeration...... but not by much.

Anyhow....Mr. Electrician came back.....and said.....''sir your inlet water pipes......''. (oh, no....not again) ''have cracked''......

That was good news....so it could be fixed....and fix it properly I did..... After that....now i've got a newbie kind of a problem....the water/heater

The Water/heater is litterally doing what it is suppossed to do if it looks itself up in a websters or oxford's dictionary. The heater is now acting up....and not heating the water very much....but its heating itself up.

Now I dont see much point in there......unless ofcourse I bathe by rubbing the water heater all over my body....I dont...... and so....i thought i'd fix it by itself.

There are 3 gear positions below the heater....they read as under...Minimum, medium and maximum. So far so good.....

But there was a problem....i didnt know whether that was time related or temperature related......that is....If it was minimum time or minimum temperature and so on for the other two positions.

If it was time related no problem.....but if it was temperature related.....i'd be subjected to 3rd degree burns....because since the last 10 months since I had the heater....it was at minimum. So anyways....i fixed it again....and found out later....it adjusted the time

Who in their right minds would have an option for maximising the amount of time needed to heat water....Any normal sane person unlike me.....would want it to heat up in the least amount of time possible. Anyways....right now....the pointer is still positioned at Maximum and I now I have to get up 15 min early each morning.

But still....the major problem of water underheating and heater overheating hasnt quite been resolved....so i'm thinking of sending it over to a couple of my friends who often go out on adventurous hikes for them to use as a Microwave oven.

But i'll have to tell him this.....''Guys you can do almost anything in this.........except boil water''.

All in all......A good heater.....there's a good chance that maybe I was landed with a defective piece.....or that my luck with water heaters is the same as my luck with women.

I think the 2nd option is a little more likely!!!
