Last year befor Dhanteras, when I went to buy an IFB washing machine, I was pretty apprehensive as I had read a lot about its very poor customer care services. The shopkeeper laughed at my fear and told that all those people who write such reviews are actually agents of other companies who spread negativity about the successful and popular products and brands. I took his words and bought a new IFB Sentaor washing machine replacing my old videocon machine. The old machine was with me for the last 10 years and never gave any cause to complain about. But this so called advance technology machine broke down in the 11th month and the worst part came when despite of repeated calls to the customer care nobody bothered to turn up for around 20 days.
When the service man came he found that a knob is not working properly but the depot did not have that ordinary knob in the store. We waited for a week and after that when it was fixed the machine failed to work again. He escaped making an excuse that since it was getting late(almost 11.30 at night) so he will come next day to fix it. But that next day did not come even after 15 days and we are still waiting for someone to come and set the machine aright. I seriously advice all the sensible people to maintain distance from the IFB products because not only they are of poor quality but the service also is of worst kind. I regret that I did not pay heed to the reviews read on this site.
