LG- WD-10485TP Washing Machine. Review on Choosing a Washing Machine

I wanted to write about my experience buying a new washing machine. As any new buyer, I was worried more about after sales service than just the load of features. My parents still use old Whirlpool Semi automatic washing machine, which is still running fine bought some 13 years ago.

I wanted to go for newfront loading washing machine, so thought of buying a brand which can give good service, as buying for features is once and maintaining the same is forever. As the market is flooded with lot of brands - IFB, LG, Whirlpool, Samsung, etc, deciding on one was bit difficult with different retailers biased towards their own favourites.

Mouthshut has been very useful in getting fair idea, but if one writes bad review it does not mean the product as a whole and service bad. You need to understand under what circumstances and context the review is all about, not all experience would be alike.

Need to be patient enough to go through most, if not each review to form an idea of your own. Out of my experience this way, I had filtered out IFB as many say it has poor after sales service(please confirm this yourself) and Whirlpool has newly introduced front load washing machines. I would neverlike to buy any very new technology as it is bound to get corrected from initial buyers problems. The only thing that was left out in my mind was LG front loading.

I went to Adhishwar India, Kalyan Nagar Bangalore and was amazed at the kind of attention and responsiveness that I recieved. I would like to specially thank Mr. Jitendra Kumar(Branch Manager) for making sure that we receive the required information necessary to make decision and swift action in getting things sorted out.

I bought LG WD-12485TP Silver color washing machine yesterday and immediately before delivery, received callf rom LG for Demo & Installation. Delivery and Installation happened on after another. It was really excellent customer service from LG.

Its only a day I have used the washing machine, but so excited to see such fast and quick response after having all previous bitter experience related to other electronic & electrical items of branded dealers, especially from Pai Electronics Indiranagar(may be one off incident for me), but they never turned up for demo after repeated calls.

I would not like to recommend anything, but would like to leave up to your own thinking. Hope the review would prove to be useful.
