I have done B Com hons. from University of Delhi and as per my research one should opt for commerce or economics if he can get admitted in top 5 colleges and if he has taken commerce at+12 level.
Below are the list of top 5 colleges for commerce:

Hindu College
Kirori Mal College

In my view if any one has got enough marks and can get admitted in the above colleges than he must definitely go for it as these institutions have a very good reputation not only in India but also around the world.
They offers you excellent facilities in every spheres to achieve the highest endeavor in your field. One after getting graduated can easily find a job as they have a very large alumni base working in large MNCs who helps in bringing companies for campus-ing.
Moreover in colleges like SRCC, Stephens, Hindu, Miranda House companies comes to hire interns and they are Fortune 500 companies for which an every person dreams to work with.Getting graduated from the above mentioned colleges makes you equal to a post grad from b grade business schools.
The salaries which one can get if he is having great getting potential is around a minimum of INR 6 lakhs as per my knowledge.Views are totally mine and it should not be taken in negative sense regarding other colleges.
