I had purchased a Nokia E 71 on 22.09.08. Five days into the purchase of the Instrument, it goes blank. So on 30.09.08 I had been to Nokia Customer Care at Koramangala, Bangalore (opp to SKC Mall) franchise Name ( Star Electronics). The executive there took the mobile into custody for repair, stating that it cant be repaired at the center and has to be sent to the Head office and it woud take 15 days to solve the problem.
Then I waited patiently for 15 days, later I made a call every day to know the status, but all I got was "Its been sent to head office and they have not given any update yet". So then it was finally 5th November, they called me that they cant repair my phone and they shall give me an instrument (replacement) was the word used by them. So I go to their center on 05.11.08, and I was handed over an other phone.And was given a letter for change in IMEI number.
The phone looked pretty old to me. Then when I came back home and checked it, the contacts was somebody else's, and it was already used for 70 mins (Call Log). Out of doubt I checked the phones IMEI number for warranty details with an other Nokia Care, to my shock, the IME number of the current instrument was scrapped by Nokia 2 months ago.
So am wondering and asking these guys everytime, why cant they replace a set which is faulty and been used for only 5 days? They say its head office's decision. And they give no details of their Head office to contact. And now its 53 days that I dont have my Mobile. And still they are giving me stories about the phone everyday.
Todays update was to collect the mobile, So I went again ( my 7th visit to the service center) and they gave me a phone which was looking good. And now a new story, they have misplaced my orginal battery. God!!! I dont know am I so unlucky or being taken here for a ride.
So Folks in Bangalore, please be careful about this particular Nokia Customer Care Center..

Seriously guys, my level of frustration is gone out of bounds. I dont know whether I am damm unlucky or I have been greatly cheated. Not sure who can give me justice. I have no phone with me from 30.09.08 and still not clear that I will have one :)
