Never Trust Them!

I have seen very few good instances of people I know being happy with their cars.

As for the Dealers. Never trust them.

You might be buying a brand new car with a few changed old parts. You never Know! And you cant do anything about it. You will never know.

Anyways its better to be cautious atleast as far as what you can see.

Advices

  1. Never pick the car up from the Dealer in the evening under no circumstances.

Many Dealers delay delivery of cars till late evenings. There is only one reason for that. Your Car has been messed around with. In the evening you would be able to see/inspect your car properly and they take advantage of that. Once the car is out of Showroom. Youre on your own and your visits for justice will start off.

  1. Insist on Inspecting your car before they register it in your name.

Once the registration is done you own a defective car.

My Uncle is very fond of cars and i've got his and my experience to pool in.

He took delivery of the Ford Esc*rt in the Evening. When I got to see the car, I saw scratches on the bonnet and the top of the car. A few places looked like unproper paint. And the worst, when I reached the truck the whole shade was different on the trunk(dicky) and 2 patches of multiple paint bubbles. The dicky did not open evenly from both the sides. Opened the Dicky and the hinges of the dicky were not even. One of them was bent. I wrote a letter to Ford. I was asked to go to the workshop where they refused to do anything except that they were willing to repaint the car. I was small then, and my uncle wasnt bothered about fighting it out. So I had to settle with it.

He bought a santro. Due to bad experience the Driver gave a surprise visit to the showroom to see the car a day before delivery. He was told that the car was at workshop. He reached the workshop to find out what was going on there. To his surprise that car was on the workshop floor with all doors removed. Why would a new car have to undergo that? So then we demanded a fresh car and it happened.

He bought a opel corsa. Almost same thing happened. Evening time delivery. No one was in mumbai. Driver Collected it. I notice too much. When I saw it. Repainted bumper and the installed spoiler had yellow paint. It was a Black Corsa.

He bought a Hyundai Accent( My Car)

Everything seemed fine.

I bought the car from him after 6-8 months. 12000 Km usage.

Found its giving less average(7Km/Ltr). Went to the Dealer(Oriental Hyundai)

I was told that I am wrong. My driving is wrong. I dont know how to drive.

Whereas I had been driving carefully at low rpm so that I can get a better mileage.

So I was out of there. It was no point.

I gave it to many different service stations including Hyundai Motor Plaza owned by Hyundai. Bad experience.

One day unfortunately my gear handle stopped working it had detached from the gearbox I think. I had a number of Mark Motors Goregaon. They sent their person and he drove the car all the way to malad in first gear. They said they will have to open the gear box etc etc. I had no choice. I got the car with stains on my seats and the front panel dirty with stains on the speedometer which melted the plastic because they had kept the perfume bottle in front of it. seats brown instead of grey. I've noticed at most workshops. they never roll up the glasses.

Then finally I gave it to Shreenath hyundai for full check up. I was told that my suspensions are gone and alot of other things.

13000K/m 1 year 5 months. My Suspensions Gone? Rs.9000/- worth of expense! excluding other things. That just means that my Parts have been changed.

I think its Mark Motors. The car was there for alot of days.

None of them are good. But have to find the best amongst the worst.

Im still not happy with my car. same fuel average. engine giving strange problems and i've spent alot on it already. I fear of them screwing it up more if I bother more about my problems with the car. Next time anyproblem, I will go to private garage. I will take my experience of that too.

Sometimes I feel buying a very low range car would be a better idea. If something goes wrong with it. You wont regret it as much as you would for paying so much and then struggling after it.

People over look these problems most of the times. And nothing gets done about it.
