My way of saying----well,--so much!!

Buying gifts, especially for someone you love and cherish, is such a difficult thing to do. My belief is that the gift should convey everything you want to say to the person who is receiving it. I've done it fairly successfully in the past-let's see how I do this time!

Although my husband's birthday is still more than a month away-I've started planning his gifts. I just want him to know how much he is loved, appreciated and cherished. My husband Ravi is a very special man, he is my soul-mate-he is the person who can make me go weak in the knees and giggle like a teenager by just looking into my eyes(Salman Khan also does it to me, sometimes!)

Ever since we moved to Malaysia, he has been burdened with so much work and so many responsibilities. His department is terribly understaffed, as a result he goes to office even on Sundays for a couple of hours. We don't even remember when he last took a day off. To make things worse, he has to travel overseas once a month. All this has taken a toll on his body. he often complains of backache and muscle cramps.

All this made me finalize his first gift for his birthday!

BODY MASSAGE AND SPA TREATMENT:

I have made bookings at a Beach & Spa Resort for two days and know that Ravi will enjoy it thoroughly.Neither of us has ever been to a Spa resort before, so I'm kind of looking forward to it.It will be the much needed and deserved break for all of us.

Imagine -

two whole days of pure relaxation and indulgence.

two whole days of not having to worry what to make for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

two whole days without Ravi's cellphone ringing in the middle of the night(though I'm not 100% sure about this one!)

Wow! I think this is the closest I will ever get of feeling like being in Heaven.

Ravi works for a Shipping Company as G.M. Vessel Planning and Operations.Because of the nature of his work, he is always either sending or receiving e-mails and is on his cellphone forever.I'm told that the market is now flooded with Smartphones through which he can check his e-mails without having to go to the computer.

So, here is my second gift idea for my hubby.

SMARTPHONE:

I tried looking for Nokia Communicator, but was told that the company has stopped manufacturing them now. I need suggestions from my MS friends regarding which one I should buy.

The one he uses now has been with him for only six months but looks as if it has been in use since ADAM & EVE ka zamaana. I have been saving money for this one for almost four months now-just hope I've saved enough to afford a Smartphone.

SHIRTS AND MATCHING TIES:

Ravi totally trusts my choice so far as his clothes are concerned. They are required to wear full shirt, pair of dark colored trousers and tie to work everyday. I've bought two sets of shirt-pair of trousers-tie for him already. I'm sure he will like them.He is not fussy about colors at all, so it makes my job slightly easier.

Every time we go clothes shopping for him, I find him searching for a particular color-the one Amitabh Bachchan wore in Don in the'yeh mera dil, pyaar ka deewaana.'song. I couldn't find it this time either!

May be some day.

A GET TOGETHER:

We will be back from the resort on Monday evening and I've invited 10 of his closest friends for BBQ dinner on Tuesday. It will be a surprise-party for him. All his friends have promised that they will not let him know of it -lets see how that goes!

He enjoys his drinks and I've made a promise to myself that on that particular day I'll not remind him that he has had enough.

I just hope the whole things works out fine because I've put my heart and soul into planning it. I also hope when the day ends, my gifts would have spoken louder than words could ever say!
