IF MY FATHER WAS ALIVE TODAY...

My Father passed away in 1977 at the age of 77. On Sunday June 16, 2002 many people in some Country's celebrate FATHERS DAY.

It is always a sad day for me. I though about what I would give my Father as a gift if he were alive today.

1) My Father loved SOMETHING SPECIAL Scotch Whisky. It is very expensive because it must be stored in a wood cask for at least ten years. He could drink a few glasses of it a day! It is brewed near Braemar, Scotland.

I did taste it once and it is quite strong because it contains 10% alcohol, barley, fermented grains, peat extracts, water and yeast. I could taste the yeast and when I did I threw up! I never drank Whisky again.

2) My Father did not like to wear much jewelry. He wore one diamond ring and a watch. He had a collection of watch's. So I might buy him one he didn't have yet.

Just for the fun of it I'd buy him a Harley Davidson wristwatch. He never was on a motorcycle in his life but he loved to speed, (don't ask how many tickets he got for doing that!). The Bulova Company makes this watch and is part of their'buy U.S.A. products promotion'.

'It is made out of stainless steel, (he use to sell new steel), had a crown protector cover made from hard crystal, (wearing crystal is lucky) and rubber, (he loved to swim so he could wear it while he was swimming because of this feature).

It also had a fold over buckle with a calendar, a four-screw caseback, a safety lock, the hands are super luminous and tachymeter scale, (I'm not sure what this is but I'm reading from the box at Birks Jewelry Store).'

3) My Father raised racehorses. He named them after all of us. He loved to wear cowboy boots. JUSTIN BOOTS or TONY LAMA Boots makes the best cowboy boot in the world, (I haven't decided which one yet).

4) My Father loved to wear expensive Suits. He never owned either an ARMANI Suit in Navy Blue with a BOSS Shirt in blue, (the color of his eyes) so I might have bought him these two things. He never wore a tie but did have a lot of'bolo ties', (the ones that Cowboys wear), so I wouldn't buy him a tie.

5) My Father lived in Vancouver, British Columbia where it rains a lot. So I might have bought him either an Aquascutum or Berrbery Raincoat.

MY FATHER IS NOT ALIVE BUT'OUR FATHER' GAVE HIM A GIFT:

My Father's only Son, (my Half Brother), passed away on Sunday June 11th, 2002.

In G-D's time I do not know how long it takes to pass through the tunnel and into the light. I do know that Jews sit'Shiva', (morning for seven days. We don't leave the house except to go to the Synagogue and pray, do any work and we cover our mirrors so we can not make our self look'pretty'). I suspect in'earth time' that is the number of days it will take my Father's Son to reach him.

I know he will be there to welcome him'home'.

MY THOUGHTS:

Although I'm Jewish I will end with a thought from the New Testament.

'Acts 3:21 Whom the Heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his Holy prophets since the world began.'

Rest in peace Alexander Davis born July 20, 1900 and passed away October 7, 1977.

Rest in peace Arthur Buddy Davis born on January 7, 1922 and passed away June 11th, 2002.
