Every time you come home after a long day, I run to find out what will be clutched in your hand for me. Sometimes it?s just a toffee, sometimes it?s crayons, sometimes it?s a whistle that you know I?ll drive you mad with. Remember, once, you got me those crazy goggles with a butterfly on the nose?

Remember the time you told me not to pick those flowers? I didn?t listen to you, then I got a scrape on my hand and ran back to you crying. You cleaned it with cotton and put medicine on it without a word. Then you gave me a hug to tell me I was a brave girl.

Remember those countless number of times when I had fever in the night and you sat up with me? You knew I needed you then. Thank you, Mama, I need your love.

Remember when I made that funny looking cartoon and brought it to you. It was my first ever drawing of you. You said it was so beautiful. You framed it and hung it in your room.

When I came third in that race, you hugged me said I was a star. Whenever I did well, you were there to clap. Wow, that made me so proud?. I need you to cheer me on.

Remember when I cried to go to school but you were so heartless. You said I would have fun there. Well, you were right? I made friends, ate my meals and took a ride on all the swings. The teacher loves me too!

If I watched too much TV, you?d always bring out my favorite story book or drag me along for a walk down that winding road.

Remember when that bully teased me in the school van and you told me to sock him hard on the nose? Ooh, that felt good?

Remember, we had such fun splashing around in that swimming pool you got me? You called all my friends and I showed it off to them. Then we sat in the sun solving Noddy puzzles till evening.

What about that computer game that you downloaded for me and got hooked to yourself? I got really cross with you that time.

Remember that CD you made of all my favorite songs and we listened to it every night together? That was fun.

I can never forget the day you walked down the stairs in your pretty pink dress. Oh, I so wanted a dress just like that. So you got me a dress with all the colours of the rainbow in it. Don?t I look like a princess in it?

You patted my cheek just as you were leaving?.
