I see many reviews on gifts for a best friend. My very best friend happens to be my sister. We are always there for each other and always know what the other one needs at any given time. I am talking of non material gifts such as the gift of an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on. A gift of love and time spent. Sometimes in our busy lives we forget these things or we put them off.
Speaking of material gifts though, does it have to be for an occasion only? By no means. If I am out somewhere and see something that I know someone would really love I will pick it up and give it to them for a'just because' gift. To me these are the best kind. It tells the person that they were on your mind for no reason other than you care. It doesn't have to be something big, it just has to come from the heart.
Sending cards to people for no occasion also makes them feel special, just a I am thinking of you card, or a friendship card.
Since I am supposed to be reviewing gifts for a best friend I guess I should list some that I have given my best friend. You all know your best friend as well as you know yourself so choosing a gift is very easy.
*A cell phone is a nice gift for anyone that doesn't have one and especially for a woman to carry with her for times she may need to call for help or is travelling alone.
You can include personal accessories such as a face plate in something she likes, maybe a special ring tone that she favors.
Most everyone collects something and considering you go to their home quite often and notice what they have this is a safe and welcome gift to give. My best friend collects mini tea sets and I know which ones she has so am always on the look out for new ones for her.
She loves going out to eat so about once a month I take her to her favorite place and we have a long lunch with plenty of good food and chat to go with it.
She loves flowers and hardly ever gets any so on occasions I like to send flowers and yes it is fine for one woman to send another flowers although I would not recommend red roses LOL
Many times a certificate is good for somewhere special such as the beauty shop so she can go and have a day of feeling pampered and perky as a new hairdo will brighten most womens days that I know.
I have made special t-shirts with pictures on that include fond memories and will be worn for years.*
Whatever the gift give from the heart and you can't go wrong.
