FOR THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. Review on Choosing Gifts for Your Girlfriend

The review is dedicated to the special girl in my life

I decided to write the review after reading lallupanju's review on choosing gifts for a boyfriend. Was a good one, but not so for that lucky boy who is going to have the pleasure of receiving her gifts. Just one doubt? Imagine a situation. Lallu gets her dream boy. It's his birthday, and he is expecting a gift from her, and our lallu marches in the door, and slaps him. Trust me o little one, no boy is going to like that. (If you want to try this one out for yourself, try giving a slap to dhananjay. Ha ha).

That is enough for the comedy part, I guess. Now choosing gifts for your girlfriend is the hard part of a relationship. Girls can give you an empty pocket within a matter of minutes. But guys, I am not saying the relationship should be ended because of that since these are all part of the larger picture called life. And also the love in the relationship is more important than the pocket, though it should not be allowed to empty the pocket.

I cannot give you a broad picture of things, as there is no girlfriend, as such in my life. There are many girls in my list of friends. And to say the truth, I have more girl best friends than boys. Have been lucky in that that department.

But as I mentioned, I have no girlfriend as such. But there is a girl I love. She is one of my best friends. She knows that I have a slight crush on her. But I haven't told her that I love her yet. The feeling is killing me. But I can't tell her; I get this feeling that I will end up breaking our friendship. She has had a very bad experience with the boys she took to be her friends. And I get this feeling that I will end up breaking her heart. She is the one girl in my life, and I can't think of any other girl.

Coming to our gifts section. There are some things that I gave her and there are some things I wish I had given her and things I will give her. For she is the special girl in my life. Speaking in general, my list of gifts for a girlfriend would include

1. Yourself: What is the one thing the girl loves if she is your girlfriend? Other than jewellery, that is. Its you. You are her boyfriend, and she wants to be with. Be there for her.  You presence is the best way of telling her that you will be there for her the rest of your life. And be there for the rest for your life. If you give a girl your word, keep it.

   
   




2. Card: The history of the card starts with the tradition of sending a drawing or a wonderful item with the letter. What I meant to say is, the card by itself does nothing. Some people have an assumption that a big card is all that is needed to save the day. But even a small card would do the trick if accompanied with a letter that is written with the beautiful words that flow from your heart. The card should also be up to the occasion that the combination of the card and the letter should be able to take your feelings to her.

   
   




3. Jewellery: This is one word every girl understands, irrespective of language, tradition or customs. Girls are the weaker gender when it comes to resisting temptation. One ring, and she is in your pocket. But take the option only after thinking it over, and it should be more like an act of desperation cause, once you choose the path, the girl will be in your pocket all right, but there will be nothing else but coins in there.

   
   




4. Complement: This is not much of a gift, but I am sure this is one of the best things to give to a girl. The first time you meet her in the morning, greet her saying that she is looking very beautiful that day, and she will naturally be happy the whole day, and this is going to make you happy too.

   
   




5. Love: Girls are very sensitive compared to guys. Little things do matter for them. So don't keep the love for her in your heart. Tell her that you love her. Also it is not enough to just tell her. Love her man... she is yours. Love her till the end of your life.

   
   

A few days back, there was a review by Snehat on choosing gifts for a boyfriend. This is the one review that has influenced me the most. May be because my love             also stands in a big question mark, because of my love for her. But the love for Nirmay was very much evident in her review. Guys, please pray to god that her prayers be answered.

1. Mobile phone: Lallu wrote in her review that guys are crazy about their mobiles. Well, I agree. Girls are not crazy about mobiles. But still I would my girl a mobile. (If I had the finances for it and also if I had a girl). Why? For keeping in contact with her, yaar. It gives her freedom and also the confidence that she can always call for your help in trouble.  But the plans fails in many cases where the guy calls up every half an hour to check on the girl to see what she is doing. I don't know, if you don't trust her, why is she your girlfriend in the first place?

   
   




2. Perfume: ok, I confess, I got this idea from Sneha's review. But she was writing about boys. The same thing applies to girls also. Like she said, when you are wearing the fragrance gifted by your love, you will feel very much lively and amazing..

   
   




3. My last choice of a gift; be there for the rest of your life: Make a commitment. Make her yours. Marry her.  And live happily ever after.

   
   

Hope you guys may find the review useful. But this is only from my limited experience. Girls are individual persons and should be treated as individuals. All the things mentioned above are sure to work with any relationship, but as in a computer, they must be optimized in ach and every case to be compatible in the particular case.

As I mentioned earlier this review is from my personal experience, which is very limited. I am only 18, and with god's grace, I hope I can write with much more confidence after making HER mine. Or even if that doesn't happen, with all the experience that I get, I will atleast be able to warn you of my mistakes.
