Limpin' Time

Limp Bizkit. What is there to say about this 'Mosher' music? Well, that people who won't listen to this for fear of being labelled a 'mosher' as idiotic and really missing out on fantastic music because they want to fit in. No, don't be getting me wrong. I'm not a mosher, quite far from it in fact. I don't own any black clothes and my hair is blonde (most of the time). But I suppose I do have some 'mosher spirit' in me, because I'm individual, don't follow the crowd and have no interest in what anyone thinks of me.

I think that the songs are very original but a lot of people disagree and say that their previous albums (three dollar bill y'all and significant other) are much better. I have no basis for comparison on this however, as I have not yet heard their other albums. But I am going to buy them now I know how good they are.

But anyway, enough about me, lets have a little rundown of the album.

Intro- a freaky little alien voice just saying that ''Limp Bizkit are in the house''. Bit dull. 5/10

Hot dog- Could be renamed 'The fck song'. The most frequently used word in this song is fck. But it is fantastic. Its very ''woah!'' in your face. At one point Fred Durst sings ''If I say fck, two more times, thats 46 fcks in this fcked up rhyme''. I is a very good song though, one of my favourite on the album. The song basically says that lifes fcked up, and so is the world. To be honest, according to this song everything is f*cked up. 9/10

My generation- A really upbeat song that really makes you wanna (dare I say it?) MOSH. The song basically implies that you've gotta respect to be respected (although they say it with a lot more swearing). Really is a good song though. Makes you smile. 8/10

Full nelson- This song is quite good but not as good as the others on the album. The lyrics are really good but the tempo and beat make it better as background music. 7/10

My way- A really calming and relaxing song. Well, except the chorus anyway. Its a 'feel good' kinda song, about how hes going to leave his girlfriend (I assume its girlfriend but with the album title meaning what it means I can't be too sure!) if she doesn't start to see things his way. ''Its my way or the highway'' I suppose this would be a good song for people nursing a broken heart but its generally a good song whether you are broken hearted or in love. Or none like me. 10/10

Rollin'- Alright partner! This is the song on the album that most people know whether they like Limp Bizkit or not. It made it to number 1 and it's been in the charts for quite a while. For those of you who haven't heard it yet its a fab song, kind of 'pop' though. Not like their other music but still equally fantastic. Its got a really catchy tune that makes you want to dance. And if you've seen the video, theres a really good dance to go with it too! Shame of all the Rollin' Groupies now who don't know anything about Limp Bizkit. 7/10

Livin' it up- I absolubtly love this song. Its got a pretty fast beat and the myrics are really good. I suppose the chorus sums it up really ''I'm just a crazy mother fcker, livin' it up, not givin' a fck, livin' life in the fast lane''. Its just sayin really that you've got to do what you want to have a good life. Good song. 9/10

The One- This is a really cool song. Quite relaxing and has a pretty slow beat in parts. Its just saying that if you don't give it a go, if you like someone but don't get together that its stupid, because you could be soul mates and be really happy together, and that you have nothing to lose by making an effort. Truly fantastic song and at the moment, my favourite. 10/10

Getcha Groove On- This song features rapper Xzibit, who I think is excellent. The beat is quite consistant and therefore the tune is repetative but the lyrics are good and the fact that its Xzibit and Limp make up for the repetative tune. Bit too similar to other rap songs though. 7.5/10

Take a look around- Another song that most people will know because it the theme from Mission Impossible 2. You know how it goes, ''Now I know why you wanna hate me, COZ HATE IS ALL THE WORLD HAS EVEN SEEN LATELY!'' I think the song is pretty good and the lyrics are fantastic. And the Mission Impossible tune on this track is really good. I bought this on single WAY before the album came out, so it isn't that much newer than the Significant Other times. Great. 9/10

It'll be OK- Quite depressing really. He's (Fred Durst) feeling all sorry for himself because his girlfriend (or boyfriend?) has left him. But then he starts to feel better and realises that, yeah you guessed it 'It'll be OK!!'. When he starts to feel OK the song picks up and is much better but on the parts where hes depressed you end up wanting to cry. 8/10

Boiler- This song is fantastic. It make you feel really empowered. I really love this song. The lyrics are great, the music is great, its great. The beat is quite slow but the guitar stops it from being a too slow and relaxing. Hes wondering why his girlfrind had to hurt him. Really is a fab track. The Boiler video has just finished being produced. 10/10

Hold on- I'm not overly keen on this song. Its OK, its just not like the other music that Limp do. Its much too slow and the guitar and other music bits are too quiet. I really don't like the way Fred is singing on this track either. And the lyrics aren't really anything special either. But maybe other people will like it. But I doubt that any fan of Limp will really like it. 5/10

Rollin' (urban assault version)- This track is pretty much the same song as the original Rollin' but harder and heavier with more serious sounding music. It also features DMX who is a pretty scary rapper with a penchant for barking. Quite a good track though really and DMX adoes have a good voice. 7/10

Outro- This is not at all funny. This really drives me insane. Theres a little chat at the beginning (I've never really paid attention to what is said) and then it carries on for ages with this very irritating laugh on repeat. I always skip this track. 4/10

Hope this is of some use and I really do recommend it to anyone that doesn't like steps or Britney Spears (and is about 15 or older). Other words, buy it! 8/10
