Chittorgarh Fort. We went in flashback with Bappa Rawal, Rana Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji interaction, Rani Padmini and her beauty, Meera and her love for Lord Krishna, Udai Singh’ flea to Udaipur and Akbar conquering the Fort and many stories revolving around them. Our first encounter with 12th Century and years after that …………. The Vijay Stambh, Kirti Stambh,.The fort looms up on the horizon from the town below. And as we snaked our way up the rampart, we realised how solid and layered it's defences were. Unlike other palaces in Rajasthan, Chittor fort must have been built for war and the monuments inside confirmed that thought. The fort is largest in India and covers an impossible length.
One of the amazing palace situated on hill top. The 14th century fort has great stories behind it. There are lots of temple inside it . Most of it were jain temples. The pillars were amazingly carved. There is a very long pillar made known as Vijay stamb which was constructed when the king wons d battle and came back. This fort gave us a brave queen named Padmini who sacrificed her life to protect her from her enemies and for this she jumped into fire called as Johar. So this fort had lot of historical stories which is really very influencing.it also has a gow kund where water comes out of cow's mouth.
