Chilika a wonderful Lake. Review on Chilika Lake, Puri

I am going to share my experience with this lake.Asia's largest saline water lagoon extends from 1165 sq km to rainfall, which is the rainy season of 9 9 sq km in a dry season, situated in the heart of coastal Odisha ( Orissa) . It extends north from Bhusandpur of Puri district in the north to Rambha-Malad in the Ganjam district; it is different from the 60 sq km long boating islands and sand flats from the Bay of Bengal.Some of the major islands, such as Nalbana, Kalijai, Somola, Honeymoon, Break-fast, Bird and Flamingo, are inhabited by fishermen families, these are popular for daily boat tripsKalijai temple Located on an island in Lake Chile, the Kalijai Temple is one of the famous attractions. The temple worship Goddess Kalijai. Gods have been honored with the local people as well as in their folktales and fables. This island is an attractive place for pilgrims as well as tourists and can be reached via a boat from Shilka Lake. Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great pomp and cheer in the temple which attracts many travelers and devotees.Another prominent attraction in Chilika is the Irradi dolphins, which are often seen from Satpada Island. Surpassed surrounded by the lagoon, offers an excellent view of all and attracts the audience in the entire 30-km radius of the sandbar. Boats arranged by OTDC are available for both islands. The lake also helps the local fisherman in earning his living from the shrimp prawns, mackerel, and crabs.Hotels are not available here but available after some kms away.
