I had been to this Chilis twice so far, and both times had a very good experience on the food aspect, but cannot say the same about service though. There were only 3 guys to attend the customers during both visits, which were during lazy afternoons with hardly 3-4 other tables occupied. No exaggeration, but all 3 guys were running between the kitchen & tables like it was a packed-house. And the biggest turn-off was they were sweating profusely, and took more than 15mins to even provide us water and menu card, which left us wondering how they would handle a full-house at all.

Anyway, into the food review now. FOOD : Their Nachos are a must-have. Good sized, very well-presented, crispier and very good chips with well-molten cheese and jalapenos, they are a true delicacy. We also loved the Cheese poppers. The vege tacos were not really great, but pretty bland. And when we asked for a cup of guacamole, it not only took time, but just tasted so stale it could have been from a month-old frozen can just heated up and served. Our friend ordered a Grilled Fish platter, and she seemed to love it absolutely. I ordered Chicken crispers and Grilled chicken platter. Though the chicken crispers were too good, I cannot say the same about the maincourse. The chicken became so hard & rubbery within few mins, I found it so hard to cut or chew. Definitely not what you expect having blown 400/ on a single maincourse. And On our first visit, we had ordered vege Quesadilla, which was great too.

Overall, very happy with the starters, but mixed results with the maincourse. Especially the chicken could have been much better, from my experience. In a way, I am pushed to believe that not all dishes are freshly prepared, but a few seem to be from canned / frozen sources, which is definitely a put-off for the hefty price you pay. I hope I am wrong, but the taste and lack of freshness of a few dishes make me believe otherwise. DRINKS: My 2nd visit was after a long tiring walk all around the mall, and all I wanted was one chilled beer to pour down my throat and as luck would have it, it was a dry day (7th day after Gandhi's birthday !!! Seriously?!?!?!?!! Someone should learn from MH government to come up with most wierd dry-days). I was so angry within and went through entire menu 3 times over 10mins (firstly, dint know what to order non-alcoholic, and secondly wasnt able to register any beverage in mind due to frustration), and finally ordered Mango Iced Tea. Thankfully, I was soo happy with it, and it was refreshing to say the least. And my friends stuck to Coke & Salted Lime Soda, so nothing to write about there. PRICE : Definitely on the expensive side for maincourse and appetizers. Although I love their side-options of Sauteed Mushrooms or Mashed Potatoes or Steamed Broccoli available from 70/ onwards. Any maincourse dish is just enough for 1 person, while the starters can be good enough for 2. Ambience : Typical American family diner ambience and seating. Suitable for groups of friends or families as well as couples. SERVICE : This is one area where they have to really work hard and pull up their socks. I was very disappointed with the delay in every pre-food service - Cleaning of tables, providing water & menu card, and someone coming over to take up orders, and not sweating and running around as if in panic.

The only positive on this aspect was the way they were checking about the quality of food and how was our experience, but if they are expecting a compliment and a positive answer, they need to work on other aspects of service. Verdict : I would definitely go again for the starters and beers, but I doubt if I will go for their maincourse or service quality.
