This place is Treasures for Lovers. It is located in Khanna Market, Lodhi Colony and nearest to the Jorbagh Metro Station. From Jorbagh Metro it is just 5 minutes Auto / 10 minutes Rikshaw ride to reach the venue. One of the greatest South Indian restaurants hidden in Delhi.
It is not the new search for South Indian Cuisine at all. I have been there for the last 12 years and I loved this place very much. It is small Air Conditioned Restaurant which does not have any fancy sitting areas, still it is a descent family restaurant to dine.
Guests are welcomed with quarter glass of RASAM which are amazing. South Indian cuisine is usually served on a banana leafs, especially in the South Indian States. But at Chidambaram your meal will also be served on a banana leafs which is decent.
You can try their Mysore Masala Dosa, Masala Idly, Tomato Uttapam, Nilghiri Utthappam, 5 in 1 Utthappam, Family Utthappam, Lemon Rice etc. Creamy Dahi Vada is also a delicacy. The Onion Masala Dosa is also fabulous with lots of onions and masala made to perfection. You can get different varieties of chutneys along with the Sambar which makes the platter delicious. You can also get the real taste of Filter Coffee in this restaurant.
Their rates are also very pocket friendly. The staff are extremely humble and their service is very prompt.
In my opinion Chidambaram’s can be a very fine option for Authentic South Indian Delicacies.
