This is my first review on MS and purchased Chevy spark LS about 3 weeks back (10 Dec 09) and v happy with the car. Got a metallic red with no extra cost. Got a good discount of 50K and got some free fittings installed after bargaining hard with the dealer :)
The dealer (National Garage, mumbai) promised me to deliver the car in 8 days and he did!! I was really happy with the way the sales person showed me the car.
NowI have driven the car for about 300 kms and did a full tank on second re-fuel. Initally put 10 liters and it returned with an average of 11 in full mumbai traffic and 80% AC on. I hope the fuel efficiency improves after 1st service. The dealer put in some 5 liters initially.
The car has good space internally and to my surprise 5 adults can sit with comfort (all average height ed) for a short trip. Longer trip could cause some discomfort else for 4 it is perfect!
Also the car has come with tubeless tire which is first in this category I suppose.
What I liked:1. Car is zippy in city roads and traffic..small turning radius.2. AC is good though the car pickup deteriorates when it is on 3. Interior space is well utilized4. The car is so silent that it has happened few time with me and dad that we hit on the ignition, later realizing that car is actually on.
What I dislike/issues: 1. The gear shift seems bit notchy when in 1-2-3 rd gear. has anyone facing the same issue?2. When doing reverse gear with full turn, there is noise . Anyone facing the same ?3. Boot space seems less but for a city, I feel its fine. 4. Side vison is restrictive and would take time to get used to it.
I will come up with a follow up review after sometime when car has run some more Kms and how the first service goes.. Need to test it on express way, but overall I love this car.
