Hey all, I got my spark on 9th Aug 2008 n today I touched 10000k mark...I ll make it a short review...My dream(within my budget) was 2 get a Swift VXi, but didnt ve enough penny in my Kitty 2 get one, so thought of goin for a small car.. I did test drive Santro, i10, Alto, WagonR n of course Swift. Swift is class apart n we cant compare swift with Spark cuz its a big car, I mean 1.3L, 87 BHP...power is better than Ford Ikon n even Honda City :) .. okie comin back to my review....
Wagon R -> Box shaped and pretty old car.., Alto, its just better than 800, only thin is A/C and Power steering, it does not have anything worth buying. i10 is completely cramped, but yes the interior is best in its class, may be d best interior in a Hatchback, but I cant spend 4, 80, 000. Rather I would go for Swfit...
The two vehicles left out are Santro and Spark, Santro GLS costs around 4, 30, 000 on road, then I heard about Spark comin up with a 50k discount and Spark LS (2nd best high end model) costs 3, 40, 000 on road. I took a test drive and I jus liked the car... I mean it has got everything that you can imagine of getting @ a Price tag of 3, 40, 000. The reason I liked it because it is value for money...you get Power steering, power windows, a cute looking car, its unique on the road, not like too common as santro/Alto. I am gettin 14kmpl with 100% aircon ON in the City driving condition.
Pros : Price is low in comparison with Santro, A/C is really effective, Good power steering. Good space inside (Better than Alto n Santro), Real good engine with out any vibration at all...The built quality is really good and does not give a Plastic look...Looks mote cute than other cars... Its really stable, I mean I touched 100 last night and was surprised... its like goin @ a speed of 60.. amazing car with a gr8 price.. thts all I can say abt this Chevy Spark...
Cons : Gear box would have been more smoother...Tail light does not suit the small little car..
Finally only thing I wanna say is its a much much much better car than Santro/Alto... thts all...
