It's been like 5 months since I bought this car. At first I was planning to go for Alto 800/ Zen. But I could notice the slow pick up with AC on.
The moment I took a drive of Spark with AC on, I was impressed. I immediately booked the PS version at Pashankar Auto, Pune. The service was satisfactory. The pricing was very aggressive compared to Maruti dealers.
The car is so silent from inside, you hardly know if the engine is running. I have to keep the rpm meter on to check that engine is running. After first servicing and almost 2500 km of running, now the car is smooth like a butter. The transmission is best that I have seen in any cars in the category.
During my recent trip to Mumbai from Pune, the car easily touched 100 km/hr with AC on. I remember in my previous car Maruti 800, it used to touch max 80 km/hr with practically jumping on the accelerator. The car is so stable even at 100-110, that with all windows up, you hardly realize that you're going so fast. A friend of mine has i10- 1.2 sportz and he confirms that even it can not give such a good pick up with AC on.
I have not been able to calculate the mileage accurately so far. For first 3 months, it gave approx 15 km/ltr. But now it is increasing. Since last one month, my Spark has given 17 km/ltr with occasional AC on. I hope it improves further. The leg space could have been larger. I've seen leg space in Indica & its big. Also, I think the ground clearance could have been lowered for better comfort.
I will strongly suggest for all beginners & importantly ladies to go for Spark.
