Spark in Bangalore. Review on Chevrolet Spark

I have read lot of review of the spark for the last 1 year and some of the reviews I thought might mislead so I a m writing the review.

Basically my review will be in comparison with mostly old zen, Astar, i10, santro. I would definitely say spark is good deal when compare to Santro and also Alto 800. But still I would say Astar and i10 are good compare to spark in terms of mileage and power. Both of them easily give 12-15Km/l in Bangalore (With AC).

But spark will give 11-12Km/l (within city)(With AC)

Astar/i10 gives 17-19Km/l in higways.(With AC)

Spark gives 15-16Km/l in higwats (With AC)

Also the power of the spark is slightly less when compare to Astar and i10

One more notable thing is the engine of the Astar and the i10 are new compare to spark.

A/C in spark I felt is below mark since it takes a huge time to get cooled and the other important thing is that when I was using old zen I can easily switch off the AC for 5-10mins after keeping it on 15-20Min but it is not possible with AC may be that is bcos the AC of the spark is not as good as the old zen but I am

not very sure how the ACs are in i10 and Astar

Servicing of the spark out side the bangalore is not as easy as Maruti cars or Hundai cars.

One bad thing of the GM is price slashes. When I bought the car it was 4.5lks w/o 3 years extened maintance now u will get the same with 3 years extended maintance for 4.0Lks.

And as of now the resale value of the GM is not as good as Maruti or Hundai.

Both the i10 and the Astar comes with factory fitted music system.

You cant get the car serviced out side as easily when comare to maruti/hundai you should depend on the services offered by GM

Bad looking sterring wheel (As of like a truck).

The postion of the wiper and the indicator switches suites for left hand driving

Good things when compare to Astar and i10 Are.

4. Maintance cost in service center is slightly less when comare to Hundai and Maruti.

   
   

5.Good feeling of the Horn.

6.Good turning radius and small size eazies city ride.

7.Price is less compare to Astar or i10 (if you are buying when the GM has some offeres)

8.Build quality is slightly good compare to i10 or Astar

9.Ride quality is better than Astar/i10.

1. Ground clearence is good compare to old zen

So overall I would say Astar may be a better deal than spark.

I do not like Hundai as their after sales maintance is too high...
