I own a Spark LT for the last 1 and a half years, bought in B'lore. Based on the service I have received till date, I feel I would have better gone with a Hyundai or Maruti. My biggest mistake has been, not having considered the service framework and after sales service reviews of GM in India before giving in to the discount. Needless to say that the discount was finally uncovered to be a fake - a pure play of numbers and no actual value benefit to the end consumer. Lately I have discovered that because I was sold the car at a discount, not only I had to pay the road tax and insurance from my pocket(which was known to me) but the dealer also stripped me of GMs most publicized free 3 yr service benefit(unknowingly).
I am not calling it worst service because atleast in one instance, after a lot of follow up and fighting, I got a defective tyre replaced by GM. But you talk about their customer service cell and numbers.try them.
Recently, I tried reaching the following numbers of GM for getting a Euro3 Certificate for re-registering my vehicle in Haryana - 91-124-421 3333(a sleepy voice picked up twice, without answering anything, put me on hold and then disconnected)
91-120-30308080(Bhupendar Sharma picked up, listened but had no idea and went on contacting Gurgaon and Bangalore dealers for this information. What is the use of a customer service cell if your support staff is not aware of what to do or where to fetch the right information from. He finally called back to confirm that they will not issue any such certificate. This inspite of the following mail a few days back:
".we request you to send us the RC & Invoice Copy of your car to provide you euro certificate. You can send these document through a scan copy on the same mail id. Also, we request you send us your address to send Euro Certificate through courier.
We thank you for writing into us and sharing your experience as a valuable feedback.
Warm regards

For your information this mail was sent to me on 11May09 and I responded immediately with the required information and since then have been chasing around to get the certificate/response.
Moreover, Bhupendar won't share the GM head office address or any other escalation number for me to follow up, ensuring that all my traces end here.)
I am still driving on Gurgaon roads with a Karnataka number, constantly under the fear of being caught by the traffic police for complying with the local RTO regulations, thanks to GM not helping with the required documents.
I have no major complaints with the car but without a responsive and supportive customer service in place, I am not comfortable driving this around for long, needless to say, I never get the confidence to drive out on a long drive for a weekend vacation in my Spark.
