Six months back I thought of buying a car for my city drive. I already had an alto(LX) in my family. So I was looking for a car above Alto.
Shortlisted Santro, Xeta and Spark.
Test drove all the 3 cars and finally was confused between santro and spark.
The interior of spark impressed me more compared with santro.
Also there was a huge discount of 49000 at that time so spark was cheaper.
Even the sales rep at GM was more professional then the one at Hyundai( maybe a met a wrong guy at hyundai)
Finally selected spark as handling was also little better then santro.
It's been 3 months now and I am happy with the car. I even drove it on highway for 330km with the car full packed(5).
Positives of spark:
Excellent customer service and after sales service.
AC is excellent and the cabin gets chilled in 15 min at blower set to 2.
Gas filled shockers are one of a kind in this segment and makes you feel the difference.
Pick up is great and makes you realize its power.
Engine is so silent that sometimes you need to check the display to see if the car is on.
Tubeless tyres.
Negative:
Boot space is less if you compare it with other car in its segment.( for city not much used but felt it when drove to hometown).
Blower is little loud and you feel like setting the fan speed at 2.
Still I think that it is too early to comment my 100% on this car. But I am really happy with the car I have selected as it is great for a small family and for city drive.
Currently I am getting a mileage of 11-12km with 90% ac on.
Still need to go for the first service after 1500 more kms.
At last I would only say that this review is totally based on my experience and is not meant to convince people to buy Spark.
I would only say that test drive the cars you like and then select the one which impresses you the most.
