My SRV is now 5 month old. Black with dual real-spoilers (and options pack).
I owned a VW Jetta and Indica V2 Petrol before this.
Why I bought it:
I had a budget of 10L and wanted to buy the most exclusive but practical-in-city car. Nothing competed with SRV. She fits into most parking areas and is fun to drive both highways and city. You see few on the road and it still makes head turn regularly. Cedia was competition from exclusivity perspective but was far more expensive and bigger in size. The City, Fiestas and others are just all over the place.
Strengths -
Looks - Best looker in below 15L bracket. I like her better than Civic.
Exclusivity - Few people go for it since value-for-money factor is not great
Space - As big as cars in next segment for seating and two-luggage space in trunk
Handling - Handles like a car from 10-12 L bracket
Built - You need to hear the THUD from doors/trunk to believe it, excellent build quality
A/C - Cools fast and effectively
Ground clearance - Excellent
Average Traits
Seating comfort - Not great and not bad.
Interiors - Some may like it some may not...there is not too much jazz in there
Driving pleasure - Overall pleasure is average...ride & handling is great but pickup and gears leave lot to be desired
Music - The two din system though good is not great, controls are not easy to reach
Fuel economy - 9 in city is good for a 1600 cc extra-heavy machine
Weaknesses -
Rear visibility - Doing a reverse is not much fun as you have limited rear visibility
Gears - I drove Indica before which already had shove-it-hard gears, this one beats that
Power/pickup - Post 40 kmph its fun...but often you are left with a feel that you needed another 20%
Steering - Too heavy (though not tough to handle for most males) for some
Odd controls - Indicators on left, wipers on right and reverse near first gear (with a switch) take while to adjust
ALL IN ALL, I STILL LOVE HER AND HAVE GOT WHAT I WANTED!
