I was Looking for a newer used car to save money on depretiation Value on new. Spent months reading reviews and narrowing down all compact cars. Toyota corrola boring with recalls, Honda civic little nicer but road noise and dash wacky, hyndai elantra and accent nice but still new to markett comming from a cheap car, time will tell with them, kia fortte nice but feel the same as hyndai, Ford focus was number 1 choice untill bad reviews of new stlye automatic , test drove 2010 with hopes to buy felt like older womens car to me and thats a decked out ses sport version. Now this is upgrading from a dodge neon 2005 with 140, 000 with no breakdowns very impressed with neon. that lead me to the new dodge Dart very nice but new to markett have to see issues when they come out. With chevy last on my list claimed would never buy because of poor engineering and family owners of chevys that don't hold up well. I stumbled accross a 2012 LT 1.4, auto, very well equipped so figured I will give it a try with no hopes to buy it. Test drove the car very impressed good power , good shifting, very nice lay out. Feels like you are in a mid sized car, except cramped rear seating room. Gas milage so far not impressed compared to neon I am shocked , but cause of 15.6 gal tank I can go 200 miles further , average same as neon 32 to 34 mpg hwy, cruise set 65 mph, light accell. maybe break in will change this. Now keep this in mind great power but relize it is the turbo thats making the little 1.4 engine feel big with a 4000 lb car this will kill the engine over time in hilly city driving so long term high milage will be the key with this engine. I am giving Gm a chance if this car fails I will never buy another car from them. All these reviews are too early on this car but give you somthing to go on, one year minimun ownership is the key to review. So far I recommend it, but do not rush better to buy a car without the turbo this way engine will be sized properly for long ownership. I know this has been kinda boring but just trying to help consumers out there , we want quality for what we buy and deserve that for the money we spend ! my advice research well select wise take your time when you buy !
