Good on looks but fuel economy is an issue of conc. Review on Chevrolet Beat

I am Rajesh Rai from Palampur and I have bought my BEAT LT Petrol ( Top Modle) from Jaishree motors Kangra on 3rd, feb, 2011 and it costs around 450000/- on road to me. Yupp the car is good in driving, looks are good and it is also a bit comfortable from other hatchbacks of  this segments. But the real issue is average  I have driven 9700 KMs till date and getting 13-14 in city and 15-16 on highways which is very low as compared to its ARAI certified 18.6 and I have been told by the Jaishree sales persons that it will give around 20-22 Kmpl on highways and 17-18 on City roads which is really false .

I have some other issues as well the rear left power window stopped working before completing 1st year of purchase and the same was temporarily repaired by the electrician Mr. Rajesh of Jaishree motors as wiring inside the driver door was faulty and the same has been now changed under warrantee. Being a Government employee I have been assured  of corporate bonus of Rupees 3000/- but till date I have not got the same and time and again I have been requesting them to clear the issue and they hv ensured me to get it soon as it will be re sent to the company. Now as I will Have my 3rd service on completing 15000 KMs or One and a half year which ever is earlier than I will see if the fuel economy of the car improves or not otherwise I will definitely sell this car.

Finally if u are going to buy Chevy Beat do think the above comment and go for all specifications and a big road test  before buying any car and don't ever listen to the sales staff and other managerial staff because they all are lies.
