I was in a good mood till about 30 mins ago when I called Chaya Super Speciality in KasturiNagar.
The lab technician was so damn rude, it is totally shocking. And rude for no reason.I was a happy woman calling and talking in a sweet tone and I have no clue why she was throwing her frustration on me. It is very sad customer facing executives and especially in the hospital industry behave this way. Here is the call details:
Me: Hello Chaaya?
Receptionist: Yes maam
Me: PLease connect me to your lab, I need to take an appointment for some tests
Receptionist: One second madam
Call connected
Me: Hello, I am Seema and looking to do the following tests:
Heamoglobin, blood sugar, thyroid, Vit D, Vit B12, Liver and lipid profile. Can I get an appointment for tomorrow morning?
Lab technician: Yes maam, come at 9 in fasting
Me: But what time do you open the lab? Don't you open earlier?
Lab technician: Yes we open maam. But I come only at 0900
(That is so unprofessional. How can she not come on time? I have been to chaaya before and fasting sugar tests were always taken much earlier. Anyway back to the call)
Me: Oh ok.so can you tell what follows this test? Because after the test, I need to give blood again after food right? When is that?
Lab technician(too irritated and in a hurry to cut the call): We will instruct you when you come
Me: No see, I need to understand how much I should wait after food to take.
(she cuts me and talks inbetween in an irritated tone)
Lab technician: I already told you right, I will tell u when you are here
Me(angry now): Listen, I have meetings at work and need to plan my day. So pls I need to know how much time the tests will take. This is very bad how you are talking to me. It is a simple question
Lab technician: You are not understanding. Which doctor referred you
Me: How does it matter. It is an outside doctor and not from CHaaya
Lab technician: Then you go outside only. I cant do any test for you and bangs the phone
:):) Thank god I am not in their hands when I have an illness. I hope none of my loved ones will ever be too.
