To be in Chaduragiri is a divine experience. Everybody will get a different experience if they really want to know and enjoy to be in the place where Lord Shiva and Parvathi Devi visited and many Siddhar stayed and worshipped Lord Shiva. [Infact Lord Shiva shown a devotee couple that Shiva and Narayana are same. People worship that power in different forms]. Just 2 days back I was there and enjoyed the beauty of the place in full moon day. I too saw some people just came there(after much difficulty in climbing the hills) saw the deities and went back with out knowing the importance of the place(but with too much faith in Lord Shiva). But whaever it is, anybody who believes the ultimate power will be blessed by Lord Shiva. I saw people at 70+ age(male) also climbed the hill to get the Darshan of Lord Shiva. So, anybody with good health can climb the hill. It is advisible to climb up or down only during day time as the path is going through the jungle. For your first visit, plan your visit during full moon day or no moon day, so that you can join the with the large group of people. You can even stay there at night. But be prepared with blankets. It may take a minimum of 3 to 6 hours based on how fast you are climbing. [Near by villagers including ladies are climbing in 30 mins]
